Positive2Work Steering Committee Gathers at Inchicore Railway Works

Positive2Work Steering Committee was recently hosted by Robert Corrigan, Continuous Improvement Manager at Irish Rail, at the historic Railway Works in Inchicore. This gathering marked a significant milestone as we reviewed our operational and financial performance approaching the end of Q2, measuring our progress against the ambitious strategic objectives set during our January Strategy Review.

The meeting brought together a cross-section of leaders from a wide breadth of industries across Ireland. Positive2Work Skillnet is a true national and cross industry Network, within the Skillnet Ireland family.  It’s what makes us unique and we believe that our members benefit from the opportunity to network and collaborate across industries. Our Steering Group is a unique blend of expertise, drawing on the experience of members from DAA, An Post, IBEC, Group 4 Security, the Irish Travel Agency Association, Bus Éireann, Mason Technology, Industry of Flowers, Irish Rail, Dublin Bus, and The Travel Department. Each member brings a fresh perspective and a commitment to continuous improvement, which is vital to the ongoing success of Positive2Work Skillnet.

During the session, we engaged in robust discussions on key operational achievements and financial updates, ensuring our activities remain aligned with our strategic vision. The Steering Group’s insights were invaluable, helping us to identify opportunities for growth and areas where we can further enhance our impact.

We are deeply grateful to these industry leaders who give their time and expertise so generously. Their guidance ensures that Positive2Work remains at the forefront of workforce development and continuous improvement across Ireland.

A special thank you to Robert Corrigan and the Irish Rail team for their hospitality and for providing such an inspiring venue. The Inchicore Railway Works, with its rich heritage and culture of innovation, was the perfect backdrop for our forward-looking discussions.

As we look ahead to the second half of 2025, we remain committed to building on our achievements and driving positive change for our member organisations and the wider community. Thank you to all our Steering Group members for your ongoing support and dedication.
