Positive2Work Skillnet supporting MII Annual Conference 2026
Positive2Work Skillnet is delighted to be one of the event sponsors of the MII Annual Conference 2026, taking place on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel in Dublin.
This year’s conference, “From Conflict to Connection: A Collaborative Vision for Mediation in Ireland”, brings together leading voices from mediation, conflict resolution, leadership, organisational development and related fields. The programme has a strong focus on the skills, thinking and approaches that can help people move from conflict towards more constructive relationships and better outcomes.
For anyone working in learning and development, HR, management or organisational development, these are highly relevant themes. Conflict is part of every workplace. The ability to communicate effectively, manage difficult conversations, understand different perspectives and create the conditions for collaboration has a direct impact on people, teams and organisational culture.
The conference programme offers plenty of opportunities to explore these issues from different perspectives. Internationally recognised conflict resolution expert Ken Cloke and leadership expert Joan Goldsmith will feature throughout the programme, including sessions on mediation, leadership and facilitating dialogue. Giuseppe De Palo will explore the relationship between AI and mediation, while Dr Liam Moggan will look at what coaches and mediators can learn from each other in areas such as leadership, learning, trust, connection and performance.
There will also be contributions from Justice Sara Phelan SC, Dr Brendan Schütte, Gerry O’Sullivan, Fiona McAuslan, Caroline Kelly and others, bringing together perspectives from research, the judiciary, family mediation, workplace conflict, mindfulness and professional practice.
The conference is particularly relevant to Positive2Work Skillnet and the organisations and professionals we work with. Developing mediation and conflict resolution capability is an important part of building stronger workplaces. It supports managers and employees in handling challenging situations constructively, while helping organisations develop a culture where communication, collaboration and early resolution are valued.
This focus also reflects Positive2Work Skillnet’s current investment in mediation and conflict resolution training. We are currently running an ESF+ funded accredited Mediation Skills programme, supporting professionals to develop practical skills in areas including communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and mediation.

The MII Annual Conference also offers a valuable opportunity for professional development and networking, with CPD points available across both days. Friday provides six CPD points and Saturday provides three.
